'It has changed my thinking' - what users say about the 'Facing the Challenge' course

What an excellent course!! I'm blown away by the relevance and importance of such a message/course to the Church/Christians of the 21st century.

At the FIEC Conference, April 2003:

I had found myself drifting in my own opinions.... Somehow, the world's idea that there were many ways to God was starting to make me unsure about my own faith. I feel refreshed that there is only one truth and that I am to be bold in my beliefs

Focus Radio's Director, David Couchman, presented 'Facing the Challenge' over three sessions at the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches Conference in Pwllheli, North Wales, 22-26th April 2003. Read what the participants said.

At the Keswick Convention, July 2002:

'Well worth travelling over 300 miles to listen to!' ...

'The highlight of the Convention'

At Carey Baptist Church, Reading:

Not a course to help the church 'dumb down' but to communicate the unchanging truth of the gospel

What other users say about the course:

As part of equipping our cell group for outreach, we presented some of the material over several weeks. It really helped folk realise what was behind some of the reactions they had had when trying to communicate what the Christian faith was all about. It helped older folk adjust their worldview and gave them the rationale/confidence to develop/try different approaches. It also lead to a lot of discussion! Discussion not only about the material but also about how could we be more effective in evangelism to this generation.

Thank you for your huge contribution to our teaching program this term. We've got a lot going on in the Autumn, but the Facing the Challenge series hold the possibility of the greatest impact on the life of the church in the future... The feedback people have given me has been universally positive and I think the material and presentation is spot on.

I have used the Facing the Challenge course in our church and all participants found it extremely stimulating and helpful in building bridges to non believers

The course was more than vindicated and left a deep and positive impact on a large and diverse group of American Christians.

This material will help the students a lot in Biblical discernment

The Facing the Challenge web site has been a great help and encouragement to me. I got so much from reading your book and received other very useful resources from the site which have been of real help in my studies. I'm doing my best to recommend it to others. I'm very grateful to the Lord for your ministry.

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your site (and insight). I thank God that my British brothers are receiving such good teaching. My prayer is that America and Britain will both awaken to the need for apologetics.

I am so thankful that you are stirring our minds on the state of social attitudes

A good balance of lectures, visual aids and discussion notes. Excellent textbook 'Facing the Challenge', which can be used (along with the notes) for future reference. Useful book list for future reference. I particularly enjoyed the discussion groups.

I'm encouraged in my thinking and witness

I hope this gets a very wide audience

As a teacher of 11-18 year olds, it was very helpful to see where they're at, and why

I've looked forward to each session

It helped me get on the wavelength of non-Christian friends

As a late fortysomething I feel very out of touch with today's thinking. It has been a lot for me to take in

I'd like to do it again!

It helped me raise issues that I had not previously thought of or helped consolidate thought on ideas I had come across but not evaluated in terms of being a Christian

It made me feel more motivated as to the urgency of our message

It has changed my thinking

'Loved the way you crystallized the problems - and then systematically pointed to strategies to answer them'

If I had to recommend 'Facing the Challenge' it would be to university CU's, youth leaders taking their young people into lifestyle evangelism, or for us... to inform and challenge our congregations

Good day. Clarified thought
