David Couchman presents 'Facing the Challenge' at the Keswick Convention
'Well worth traveling over 300 miles to listen to!' ... 'The highlight of the Convention'
For 127 years, the Keswick Convention, set in England's Lake District, has been one of the UK's leading events promoting committed Christian discipleship. In 2002, 'Facing the Challenge' featured as a seminar track at the Convention. Here is a selection of the comments made afterwards by some of the 100+ people who took part in the seminars. The accompanying pictures show something of the scenic beauty of the locality:
So very well presented. If only this had been 40 years ago!
Brilliant start - my appreciation of my challenge is orders of magnitude better... In general, super course. We will be taking the course back to our church to raise people's awareness there
The situation out there has moved on far more than we believe
Very accurate when I think of where my friends are
Very relevant to the needs of the hour
Challenging! Extremely helpful in understanding modern times. Thought provoking. It was a pleasure to attend this course, it was so excellently presented
Very helpful and easy to relate to
Facing the Challenge is first rate. Thank you.
A timely analysis and presentation
Opened my eyes as to what is really going on in our culture and how pervasive / persuasive it is
Enjoyable and comprehensive
This course needs / deserves to be much more widely heard
Information such as this should be more widely known to equip Christians in their task of sharing the Good News effectively
Would be excellent for small groups where there would be more opportunity for discussion and ongoing action
Spot on. For me, it was the highlight of the Convention
